Trail Update: A Safer and More Enjoyable Hike Near Loveland Reservoir!

There’s nothing quite like spending a beautiful day out on the California Hiking and Riding Trail near Loveland Reservoir—and thanks to some much-needed trail maintenance, the experience just got even better!

A huge shout-out and thank you to the mysterious “Santa’s Elf” who put in the time and effort to improve this beloved trail. The once precarious section high above Japatul Road, which used to feel like a nerve-wracking 1.5 feet wide, has now been expanded to a much more comfortable 3 feet. Now, hikers can enjoy the trail without the lingering fear of slipping off the edge!
